In addition to crop production, animal husbandry is one of the most important sectors for Adana. Adana province also has an importance place in aquaculture production. Thanks to the Sturgean, which is raised only and as the first time in Adana, black caviar production is also carried out. It also has a very important place in the production of gray mullet caviar (yellow caviar) obtained from the Mediterranean coasts. In 2018, 6,200 tons of 8,000 tons of aquaculture production was obtained from seas with 280 fishing vessels and 1800 tons from aquaculture production.
